Abstract

I start with the description of common allergies and their symptoms. In the second part I present cognitive desensibilisation, this is a method of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) for the abolishment or mitigation of the allergic symptoms. This method is a combination of techniques - dissociation, positive expectations, learning the counter example, assessment of secondary gains and the use of client’s basic and critical submodalities. In the third part there is a report about the application of the method with clients, who were treated with cognitive desensibilisation beside other kinds of treatments (for example medication).
