Abstract

The paper presents possibilities for psychotherapeutic work offered by phenomenological principles. The presented examples are focused on practical aspects of phenomenology and its process and relational attitude. In the process oriented approach a therapist starts with the obvious and pays attention to how a person retroflects (by projecting) and how she projects (with introjects). A psychotherapist does not search for causes and answers to the why, but to the how. By being aware of the how, person can get an insight into what he does and how he does. In a long run he is becoming aware his human agency.
